Starting the PC using just one RAM stick
Your PC is showing up with only one RAM stick in the fourth slot after updating. The BIOS on your motherboard (ROG Strix B550) seems to be the latest version. This could be related to the BIOS settings or configuration.
I reviewed every option, including an alternative set just to be sure.
Visit the AMD website for the latest CPU and Chipset information. If you have expo XMP or other memory overclocks, turn them off and attempt again.
Place the DIMMs one at a time in a single channel and observe if functionality is limited to that channel.
You can't just use the same RAM in all slots; you need different RAM for each slot. You mentioned you've tried that before. You might also want to test the CPU on another board to confirm if the problem persists. If the CPU works fine there, the memory channel on that board could be faulty—consider reaching out to the motherboard manufacturer for assistance.
I experienced that problem on my earlier board, but I believed it was due to incompatibility. Now I realize it’s not just about the base, as I have the same issue here too.
