Starting OSFlex on Samsung Galaxy Book 2
Starting OSFlex on Samsung Galaxy Book 2
I once bought the Samsung Galaxy Book 2 from Sprint a few years back. It came with cellular data and worked fine enough for my needs. After switching jobs, I no longer needed a tablet with cellular capability. Now I use a POS tablet running full Windows on a mobile processor that was installed in 2019. I assumed Chrome OS improvements could help older hardware. When trying to boot OS Flex from a USB drive, I faced issues. On my PC, I managed to fix the boot loader without problems. But when attempting to boot from the USB on the laptop, things got tricky. I tried disabling secure boot, changing the boot sequence, using BIOS options, and even booting directly in Windows Recovery Mode. Each attempt worked, but nothing else could access the system. A note: legacy boot isn’t available, and the BIOS only shows purchase details. TL;DR – I’ve tested everything possible to get OS Flex running on my Samsung device, but it still doesn’t work.
