Starting from a USB drive on Windows 8.1
Hi there. I purchased the Asus X205TA-HAT m0103 netbook and need to switch to Windows 10. The SSD is only 32 gigabytes, so I can't upgrade it until I remove the Recovery partition (which takes up 10 gigabytes). I've already backed up the partitions, but I haven't used Windows 8 or had a secure BIOS before, so I need guidance on booting from USB and disabling security features. As someone familiar with Linux, I'm confident I can handle this quickly. Thanks ahead of time. By the way, when I open DiskPart to delete the Recovery partition, I only see the help option—not the regular one for shrinking or deleting partitions. I was thinking maybe creating a Gparted live USB could work. What do you think?
