Not very much. Ryzen 5 parts don't increase performance as much as the Ryzen 7 and 9 models, but you can improve them with some overclocking. You miss out on the Intel E-cores that are useful for handling multiple tasks and general computing. If you're willing to push limits, consider the 7700X or 9700X.

Hmm, comparing the two 9700X models shows they're quite similar in price locally, though the 9700X doesn't boast the same striking base clock. It seems the 9700X offers better speed and lower TDP, but some say it can get too hot. I'm watching for deals since anything with more than six cores feels a bit overpriced right now. The 7700X and 9700X are both about $125 more than the 9600X, which is a bit steep considering the situation. 🥲
