I have a fresh case and CPU, so I transferred everything from the old one except the PSU and GPU. I think I placed them correctly but it still doesn’t work. All lights up and functions, yet no Windows boot. *Note: I’m new to PC building, should be fine. **The problem was resolved!!! I forgot to boot from the disk while Windows was on. But I’m glad you helped! Thanks!!! Smile)** Edited July 21, 2024 by pond man

Verify all NVMe/SSD/HDD devices are connected. Confirm BIOS boot sequence is set to the Windows installation disk. Compare your previous hardware with today’s specs—old systems may rely on legacy boot and GPT, while newer ones expect compatibility features. Consider turning on Compatibility Support Module (CSM) in BIOS; if it works, the current install uses legacy mode. Did you replace the CPU, motherboard, or graphics card?

The PC starts up using only the motherboard rather than a power supply unit. This usually happens when the PSU is faulty or disconnected. I checked the system and confirmed there are no signs of power loss or hardware failure. The detailed steps involved verifying the BIOS settings, ensuring the CPU was properly seated, and testing the power connection. Full system specs: Intel Core i5-12400K processor, 16GB RAM, 1TB SSD, 512GB HDD, 550W PSU, Windows 11 installed.

Apologies for the oversight—I was quite occupied, but the latest updates for PCs include the GPU and PSU. I’ll attempt compatibility mode to see if it provides any assistance.

Sorry for the confusion, but I was a bit impaired at that time. However, your PSU and case are brand new. The PSU is a 1000-volt unit and the GPU is a Radeon 7900 XTX OC. They were installed on an old motherboard, likely a Gigabyte B450 F. It's possible these parts might not support Windows 10.
