I’m just starting out with overclocking and need guidance on safely boosting my 9700K processor. I have an MSI OC scanner showing some overclocked settings, an i7 9700K with water cooling, and a few NVMe SSDs. The room is getting hot, so I want to avoid any problems. I recommend wiping it down first, as dust buildup isn't ideal for your PC.

The dust inside your PC isn't influenced directly by outside temperatures, but it reduces cooling efficiency and allows more heat to build up. With the outside getting warmer, it’s a good idea to clean it out. After doing so, I noticed a noticeable improvement of around 5 degrees in idle temperatures.
