Start with a gradual launch into Windows 10 on a Dataton Watchout media server
We recently installed two new Dataton Watchout media servers, but they’re experiencing extremely slow or prolonged startup into Windows 10. The older models boot in a minute or less, while these new ones take much longer—especially when multiple video outputs are connected. We use a wake-on-LAN command to power them up quickly; they display the Windows 10 logo briefly before showing the desktop after loading the server software automatically. I’m curious if something is missing that’s causing this delay. Possible factors include low power settings, delays, or conflicts. From testing, boot times appear to depend on the number of connected outputs: one output takes about 30 seconds, four outputs take around 2 minutes and 30 seconds, and six outputs show a spinning ring for three hours before launching. I’ve reviewed the media server documentation and software tweaking guide, but more details would help. Any suggestions or adjustments could be very useful. Thanks in advance.
