Hello, thank you for your time and for your assistance. I recently bought a brand new motherboard, RAM, and CPU for my old computer. I also installed Windows 10 and made a bootable USB drive with it. When I power on the PC, I press F12 to access the Boot Menu, select USB flash drive as the boot source, and the system restarts. However, it reports that Windows cannot start, suggesting an older OS like Windows 7 is still running, and it offers options to run "Repair Mode" or "Start Windows normally." Choosing "Start Windows Normally" brings me back to the same screen where it fails to launch. Selecting "Repair Mode" opens a "Startup Repair" window, which attempts to fix the issue but prompts me to restore my system, which I declined. Eventually, I couldn't find a solution. My goal is to completely erase the HDD, install Windows 10, and have the PC function like a brand new machine. You can view my PC specs here: http://h20564.www2.hp.com/hpsc/doc/publi...=c01403218 I followed the instructions in the video you linked to create the bootable drive on a Mac. Please let me know if you need any further details to help resolve this. Feel free to ask anything else.

You could host a Windows VM on your Mac using the mediacreationtool from Microsoft, connecting your flash drive directly to the VM, or opt to burn a DVD instead. The Win10 ISO is available on the Microsoft website and can be burned with the Burn program; I don’t suggest using disk utilities for this. The issue with your 7 stems from incompatible chipset drivers, making Win7 and Skylake a challenging pairing.
