Hello, Yes it is possible to make your device boot from a USB. Your laptop screen remains black during startup and pressing F2 doesn’t trigger the BIOS menu. External monitors also show the same problem. EVGA suggests reinstalling Windows and updating the BIOS, though they can’t install Windows due to this issue. Best of luck, Kind regards, Quido

Avoid unless you access the BIOS. Consider disconnecting the hard drive or SSD, powering on the system, and adjusting settings. You might also need to disable Fastboot temporarily.

If the system isn't responding, you must resolve the issue first before trying any boot methods.

Refer to the system manual or contact tech support for instructions on forcing the machine into UEFI. You might need to remove the HDD. Fastboot can be problematic and may lead to this issue. It bypasses the BIOS/UEFI boot screen and jumps straight to Windows, potentially trapping you in a boot loop if Windows is corrupted—removing the storage device may resolve it.

Confirm if it's F2 or consider an alternative key combination. Which laptop are you asking about?

The issue involves a laptop with an inverted motherboard layout, the boot drive positioned on the opposite side, and taking it off would cancel the warranty. This model is the EVGA SC15.

It seems you're guiding someone through a specific keyboard shortcut. Make sure to press the F2 key rapidly while also using the power button. Keep tapping until an option appears. If the screen remains blank, consider taking the laptop for repair.

I've tested it several times. It looks like the BIOS loads, but it doesn't appear on the display.

I think that's correct. I'll check EVGA's response and will initiate a return if needed. Appreciate your assistance!
