Hello everyone, I'm just starting out with the Pi world. I own a 3B that functions as a SteamLink streaming client. I received a 4B 2GB card and initially thought it would work in another room. After installing the Raspbian OS Legacy, I encountered a blue screen warning about resizing the root filesystem, but nothing happened afterward. The ACT light stopped blinking. I've tried other operating systems to confirm compatibility, but they all failed eventually. I haven't reached the desktop environment on any of them. While I managed to load a text-based OS successfully, it didn't solve my problem. I suspect the GPU might be faulty, so I've switched to another model and still face the same issue. I'm unsure what I'm doing wrong, but I followed the same steps as before. Do you need a specific type of microSD card for the Pi 4? I tested the micro HDMI cable with my camera and captured an image, which suggests the issue isn't there. Or could it be that I'm dealing with particularly bad hardware?

Same problem occurs with several models of pies. It might indicate an issue with your microSD card. Identify the specific model and make to verify authenticity.

I’m using the SanDisk 32 GB card that came with my 3b+. It handles most operating systems well, but I’m struggling mainly with the 4s. I’m considering switching to a different micro to replace the HDMI cable adapter. My question is whether the problem might be related to that.

It seems unrelated to the issue; likely connected to the OS and partitioning. Try installing a new Raspberry Pi OS Legacy on your micro SD card.
