I've been using it for about a month or so and haven't played it yet. Don't like competitive multiplayer games.
Many people found Alpha keys online but never used them. Those who wanted to play didn’t receive keys. A clever design by Blizzard.
I've given it a shot. Removed it. All MOBAs feel pretty much identical. Just pick what you enjoy, and that's fine.
It seems like things are falling apart... The visuals feel outdated, almost simplistic. Dota 2 and League of Legends should stay the top competitive titles, perhaps with Smite as a secondary option.
I usually don’t play MOBAs, but this experience turned out quite well. The progression system feels solid and the rewards are realistic. It seems like a nice introduction to the genre. Facing the Computer alone (with AI helpers) or playing in co-op with others is a bit too simple. You compete, earn gold, and use it to unlock new characters. Or you can spend real money to get them.
Good luck to you. I didn’t receive a BETA invite, so I think I’ll have to wait. I’ve been observing others playing online, and I’ve never played MOBAs before—until I learned about this.
