Starfield took away my keyboard—hope that wasn’t meant to be serious.
I started Starfield today and after about 30 minutes of gameplay, all my USB devices would disconnect briefly before reconnecting. I continued playing but soon it happened again—this time my keyboard would light up, yet pressing any keys had no effect. The PC remained operational, the mouse worked fine, but the keyboard was unresponsive. I tried a fresh USB port with a new controller and nothing changed. After a hard reboot, the issue persisted. No keyboards are working on my system now. I managed to access Windows via the on-screen keyboard and attempted to uninstall and reinsert it, but it still doesn’t function. Neither wired nor Bluetooth keyboards are functional either. Scans for SCF and DISM didn’t show any problems. I’m really struggling, could you help?
It would be helpful to note that the keyboard functions on my laptop, while no keyboards are compatible with my PC
Attempt to start a live Linux ISO such as Ubuntu or Mint and check keyboard functionality within those operating systems.
What kind of Ryzen setup are you using? Would it be useful to check compatibility in BIOS before installing a new OS?
Missed the update, right? Yes, Ryzen 7 is included. Also, KB functions in BIOS.
