It seems your question is unclear. Could you clarify what you mean by "a 960 do so much worse"?

My 290 also performed the same on Ultra.

I was achieving 35-55 on Ultra without any FXAA and with heavy post-processing on high settings, using my G3258 and 7870 Ghz Edition. It's impressive given that my G3258 barely meets the minimum specs.

I stay above 60 consistently, usually around 65-80 fps during high settings with four adjustments enabled.

It depends on what you value most. If it meets your needs, it might be worthwhile. Otherwise, consider alternatives.

280x Smooth performance at 60+ FPS without any drops below 60. I had to adjust a few settings since DICE games running at strict high can make my graphics card work harder than expected. I prefer my graphics card to run smoothly and efficiently, not strain itself unnecessarily.
