It's similar to comparing apples and oranges in space. The apple is still developing.

Star Citizen is awesome, especially thanks to its active community, realistic flight simulation, and the option to explore space or dive into asteroids. Edit – it’s worth noting that many of my friends are still playing ELite: Dangerous.

I enjoy Elite, but if you're thinking about purchasing it, consider waiting until Christmas (the Horizons update will release - planetary landings and more, hehe).

Elite stands out clearly in its present form. A proper comparison is only possible when both items reach completion. At the moment, one functions as a game while the other resembles a collection of connected technology showcases.

The situation isn't over. Irrelevant inquiry.

It's hard to judge a completed game against an alpha level right away. We should aim for at least 75% completion before considering it ready, once the main features are done and no major issues remain.

Elite presents a strong impression, yet many players express frustration over the absence of meaningful content or a compelling narrative. The lack of story-driven elements has kept me from purchasing it so far. Nonetheless, their accomplishments are noteworthy.
