Hello, I've checked everything I know to resolve this. My concerns seem to point toward a faulty motherboard or power supply unit. I'm facing problems with game performance, especially during gaming sessions. While my benchmarks are decent and even above average, frame rates drop significantly compared to other systems with similar specs. For instance, a friend with identical CPU and GPU is consistently hitting 400 FPS in CS2 at full settings, whereas I see between 200-300 with frequent drops, sometimes as low as 160. I've tried XPM, DDU, power mode, memory overclocking, and even a Windows wipe. It's really frustrating since it impacts my gameplay. Even in Fortnite on performance mode and all low settings, I'm getting 100-160 FPS with drops. Despite higher temperatures, I don't notice thermal throttling. Just bought fans, but I'm not sure if that's the issue. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
I believe your GPU isn't getting enough cooling, especially with the NVidia cards overheating at 80 degrees. Have you tried using the side panel removed? If performance improves then we've identified the problem. Are you in a warm area? Could you share a photo of the inside of your device so I can check the airflow?
Panel removal offers limited improvement, around 5-10 fps. GPU performance drops to about 75 under load when it's off. The room is cooler than normal. I connected my PC and recorded stats in Cyberpunk benchmark. It also restarts randomly—about two times in the past week at unpredictable times.
He’s definitely being dishonest. Right now in CS2 it’s nearly impossible to maintain consistent performance without dropping to around mid 100 FPS on that CPU. With lots of players and explosions everywhere, FPS plummets significantly across all systems these days. I’m sure he doesn’t have a stable 400 FPS. The game’s performance is really shaky at the moment. What you’re hearing matches what’s happening.
