Stable online access over extended periods
Hi there, I'm helping a friend set up an internet connection from a neighbor. The nearest place willing to share their service is about 1500 feet away, and they're considering MOCA adapters which only work up to 300 feet. They're also exploring fiber options but are unsure what's the optimal choice. Let me know if you need more ideas!
It’s really far for most uses except fiber or satellite unless you follow Amp’s guidelines every few hundred feet. Unless you’re in an area with good coverage, fiber or satellite would be more reliable.
Absolutely, I’d choose point-to-point wireless. Unless you have a way to lay fiber cables...
I don't have personal preferences, but I can suggest some popular options based on common needs.
Ubiquiti air fiber and air max items perform excellently. Your connection rate and spending will influence your choice.
