Stability testing using OCCT
Stability testing using OCCT
I'm testing R3 1200 @ 3.8GHz @ auto voltage.
Stable performance for 8 hours with Prime95 (small FFTs, highest temperature).
Unstable after 20 runs with IBT (very high load).
Stable for over 12 hours with OCCT CPU:Linpack (Linpack: 2019, 4096MB memory).
The issue with IBT is unclear—when using Linpack 2019 from OCCT, the system stays stable. Is this a bug in IBT or an older version of Linpack?
OCCT seems less discussed compared to Prime95 or AIDA64.
It's considered "rock solid stable" when your programs and system don't trigger BSODs. You can achieve very stable hardware, but issues may still arise with the operating system and software.
Why are you causing this? Is the system functioning properly under regular conditions and passing tests? These checks help identify issues, not create them.
