Are there any up-to-date references that compare SSD performance versus CPU effects on game load times? A recent video you mentioned seems to suggest minimal differences between a 960pro M.2 SSD and a standard SATA6 SSD. You're interested in seeing how newer CPUs influence loading speeds, especially with overclocking or using faster stock speeds compared to regular models.
Certain games won't see much gain using SSDs instead of HDDs. The improvements are often seen in RPGs with expansive worlds like Elder Scrolls or Witcher, and adventure titles. Titles such as CoD and CS:GO will only notice slight changes since data access goes directly to RAM.
Looking at the CPU side, I don’t think the gains would be very obvious unless you’re pairing a really basic chip with a top-tier one. Even then, if it isn’t limiting performance, I’m not sure the CPU will make a big difference beyond speed, especially in non-movie situations.
Results are typically delayed because of slow data transfer. The approach taken for that clip was ineffective.

CPU's AFAIK usually don't affect loading times unless it's handling decoding or decompressing files, which isn't a typical situation. In most cases, loading levels or maps are managed by the storage drive or RAM. If it runs in RAM, performance is extremely fast and you'd likely be unaware of it. For instance, during the start of a League of Legends game, a loading screen appears where players load before play begins. Many times, slow loading happens because the game is installed on a slower hard drive, taking time to load maps and assets.
