SSD speed on the Asus Tuf B450m Pro for gaming purposes
Hi, I'm working with an Asus Tuf B450m Pro gaming rig. It has 16GB RAM, an AMD R5 1400 processor, and I'm using a WD Green M.2 SSD with 240GB and a Crucial BX500 480GB SATA SSD. The Crystal Disk Benchmark shows read speeds are solid, but write speeds drop below 10MBps during both sequential and random writes. Sometimes it starts at under 10MBps and stays there. This is unusual compared to my previous motherboard, which always maintained good SSD performance. What might be causing this issue and how can I fix it?
It looks like the SSD is running slower or the SLAC cache is being used. I’ll try applying a forced trim to the drives and check if that improves performance.
I also tried it, but the logs often start under 10MBps and change a lot. In my last motherboard A320 it never showed this issue.
