SSD HDD Help
Hi, I placed a new SSD order today because I didn’t have one before and it was a great offer. I’m considering installing a fresh Windows installation and formatting the drive. My main concern is whether I should remove my current Windows setup from the old HDD and if my existing apps can still be added to the new SSD, including services like Google and Cleaner. Would I need to reinstall everything on the new drive? Thanks!
When you upgrade to a fresh Windows version, it's wise to reinstall your desired software. This process is straightforward if you still hold the licenses for paid programs. If your internet connection is unreliable and you're playing games, syncing your Steam library can be beneficial. Steam can reinstall games using existing files. Regarding keeping the old Windows installation on your hard drive, it's likely safe to have a backup drive, but accessing it may require creating partitions on the new drive. Overall, I recommend performing a clean install and backing up everything beforehand.
