Spool for Monoprice Cat6 cable?
We also offer pure copper cable, though it comes at a higher cost compared to our CCA cable. For distances up to a few hundred feet, CCA performs adequately at the Cat6 standard without needing an amplifier. This is due to the fact that electrons primarily travel along the metal surface, and since copper conducts efficiently, signals remain strong. We advise against using CCA for PoE applications because aluminum is more prone to cracking under repeated bending. It's preferable to place CCA in areas with minimal flexing. The key distinction between Cat5e and Cat6 lies not in the materials themselves, but in the increased twists within each wire pair. Greater twists enhance interference blocking, resulting in clearer and faster signals.
ah alright, yeah on Amazon I couldn't find the pure copper wire of yours. But I imagine the pricing is generally gonna be about the same $100-$140 for low-mid range copper cat6? Now for the installation I'm going for, solid is fine? Plan on having three runs. two to my bedroom where my PC is and the Modem will be. One to the bedroom next to mine in case there's ever a PC in it and that'd be pretty much it. Future applications would be pretty similar to that. Although maybe routed and held on in a more apartment friendly manner. Actually I may modify my routing... looking at getting some cable raceway conduit and nail down cable clips and two surface mount boxes and face plates and a 10 pack of punchdown jacks just to make the whole thing cleaner and when I move out maybe hopefully earlish next year, I won't have cable just lying around and if my mom ever had a roommate or something in my old room with a PC they can just get their own cable and run it from the box. I wouldn't care too much just because I'd be doing it for myself and when I leave I wouldn't have much of a need for those any more so I wouldn't take the time undoing my work, and just leaving it there for whoever may want it in the future. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
You can obtain a high-quality copper Cat6 cable in the $100-$140 range, including a 1,000ft box. The 500ft roll of Cat6 (CABLE-V014) costs $79.99. Solid should suffice for your needs.
