It seems the tiny, low-profile cooler won't handle an i9-9900K. Which case are you running?

Your components are functioning properly (even under continuous heavy use for extended periods it should remain reliable, not experience failures), but the thermal management system requires evaluation.

Looking for ideas on a fresh cooler? Since you have a Corsair ATX mid tower case, consider options that fit well and enhance cooling performance.

Looking for the "Corsair ATX mid tower case"? I can help identify models like the 4000D Ariflow or Carbide Spec-02.

The TDP for a 9900k is around 95w, reaching up to 119w with turbo. The CPU cooler supports up to 130w. It's near the limit but not surpassing it. Are you planning any overclocking? Is there dust present?

not making any extra speed but the cooler is making quite a lot of sound and looks like it might pop out when I run that game, especially at high settings. i’ll keep checking for more dust too.

The 275R Airflow performs adequately. The overheating issue stems from the underpowered CPU cooler. It appears similar to a Noctua NH-L12S, which is rated around 88W. The i9-9900K is labeled at 95W, but under turbo conditions it can exceed the cooler’s capacity.
