Is there a solution for lows at 1%? I’ve seen it more often in this game, but I think I can sense it in other titles as well, though less intensely. My experience shows FPS dropping from about 180 to around 1 during gameplay. The CPU is an Intel Core i9-11900K at 3.5 GHz with an 8-core processor. The motherboard is MSI Z590-A PRO ATX with LGA1200. The GPU is MSI GAMING X TRIO GeForce RTX 4080, 16 GB VRAM. RAM includes Corsair Vengeance LPX 32 GB (2x16 GB) at DDR4-3600 CL18. Memory RAM is Corsair Vengeance RGB Pro 64 GB (2x32 GB) at the same speed. The SSD is Samsung 970 Evo Plus 1 TB M.2-2280 PCIe 3.0 X4 NVME. The HDD is Western Digital Black SN770 1 TB M.2-2280 PCIe 4.0 X4 NVME. I noticed the game loads from the WD SSD, which might affect performance.

The main solution is a more powerful CPU for 1440p or 4K displays. For 1080p screens, upgrading to a higher resolution will help improve frame smoothness.

It could be a solution. I checked the task manager and CPU usage spikes sometimes... Though I assumed it was typical.

It's not the CPU load increasing (which is measured by the mean of all cores, including hyperthreading) that matters; it's the GPU performance falling. Minimal GPU activity means the CPU isn't being overwhelmed.

Lower the frame rate to 90 or less to prevent excessive CPU usage. It makes sense to cap single-player games instead of letting them run unbounded.

Only method to fix the 1 percent lows stuttering is to turn off all startup programs. Go to ms config, disable every service except Windows services. Disable core parking (bitsum power plan handles this). The system runs nothing but the game. Remove all overclocks except XMP. Perform a debloat for Windows. Effectively eliminate everything else running, so no Corsair icons, Discord, or web browsers open. I tested this on an 8700k and the performance dropped about 10 percent compared to average.

It seems you’re looking to upgrade or get rid of an old computer. I understand this can be a tough decision. For your convenience, I offer ethical disposal services for outdated tech. I’m also happy to help—my gift card from Chick-Fil-A could cover some shipping fees. This situation might just mean your device is reaching its performance limits, possibly due to the GPU becoming unusually powerful for the game. Adjusting the workload between CPU and GPU can help balance things out.
