Hey. Over the last two weeks I faced an issue with a spider in my Vive. It's on the right side next to the lens (see picture below). Sometimes I spot it, but most of the time it's hidden. I noticed spider webs too. I attempted to warm up the inside to possibly encourage it to emerge (but it didn't work). Any suggestions?

It seems the lenses are designed for easy removal, but if issues arise, disassembling might be necessary.

I tried taking the lens out but it's not in that part. Nothing can go under the lenses because it's kinda sealed. Its next to the lens as you can see it on the picture.

If the approach @frozeNNN isn't effective, simply wait for your opportunity. Check if you can tell the spider's type—nonvenomous ones might respond better to attracting ants or flies.

I recommend using compressed air to force it out completely. In the worst case, the spider might perish inside, leaving you to wait for it to decompose or needing to open it up. *Water seems unlikely to help*

Are the lenses detachable? I believe you should be able to disassemble the Vive. You might want to look at some YouTube tutorials on the process.

I don’t recognize the spider from the images I saw online. It seems to be yellow with black dots everywhere. I might check the fly part next.

Keep your distance using a stick or similar object to avoid getting bitten by the bait.

I removed the lenses, but they're not in that section. I don't have a screwdriver for the Vive—I've tried others before.
