If you go with a steam giftcard, check out Hitman (newest one: http://store.steampowered.com/agecheck/app/236870/ ), I've gotten a fair amount of playtime out of it, and there should be another season for it coming in the somewhat near future. Skyrim is another decent option. Something else you could do is save it up and get another monitor, or some other upgrade for your rig.
