Hello, I need your assistance with the Z270-A Pro. After switching to a new internet provider, the connection now offers 500Mbps download and 30Mbps upload with low latency. The issue arises because it's running on a PC with an MSI motherboard at half speed (~220Mbps), while another laptop with a full-speed network handles ~500Mbps smoothly. On Wi-Fi measurements using a phone, speeds drop to about 380Mbps. I've tried updating drivers and adjusting adapter settings in Windows, but nothing resolved the problem. Are there other solutions you recommend? Thanks, Dominic.
Hi, I plan to refresh the chipset drivers. The same cable is being used with that laptop, which achieved a 500Mbps connection.
I also tried two more Ethernet cables, but nothing changed. Updating the chipset drivers and restarting the PC didn’t make a difference either. I’m really disappointed.
Did you get your drivers from Windows or directly from the motherboard website?
I downloaded the drivers from the MSI site. The same release is available on Intel's page.
I’m running low on ideas right now. I’ll do my best to create something and share it here. Sorry about the delay.
He suggested trying Linux Ubuntu on your PC, but you're surprised because your internet speed remains strong. It might not be a Windows issue or a driver problem, but something else affecting performance.
