The 680 is comparable to a R9 280x, but the 690 tends to damage most titles. It essentially contains two 680s.

Avoiding a heated debate, yet it's not completely out of the question. On the forum "gpuboss" where you can compare benchmarks for nearly every GPU with various others to gauge performance, people have shared experiences. They've noted that AMD cards often perform well on older systems like a Pentium dual-core test bed, while NVidia models tend to run better on an FX 9350. Many comments in the discussions were critical of these findings. Additionally, some users claim the 770 is quicker than the HD 7990 and R9 295X2. However, it seems the testing was heavily skewed toward favoring Nvidia throughout the process.
