Hello, I’m checking if anyone knows about custom firmware for this router. It seems like Tenda devices are essentially rebrands of other models. I think it uses a Realtek chipset, and I saw that OpenWRT doesn’t support Realtek, but I’m not certain. Could you share more details about the model or chipset? I haven’t located any research either, so I’m not holding my breath. Third-party firmware creators will dedicate time and effort into hardware only if there’s sufficient demand and the resources are manageable. Designing firmware from scratch would consume too much time and probably become ineffective if the router eventually fails.
