I specialize in tech and help with laptop choices. For a Computer Science major with a budget of $700 to $1000, you’ll want a balance of performance and value. A processor like an Intel Core i5 or AMD Ryzen 5 should suffice for general tasks and gaming. A mid-range GPU such as an RTX 3060 or similar would handle games like Valorant and Genshin effectively. Since you’re interested in AI/ML, ensure the laptop has decent RAM (16GB minimum) and storage options. The HP Victus 16-e0351ax is a decent option but may feel a bit overkill unless you plan heavy AI workloads. Stick to these specs and you should meet your needs without overspending.
