Would it make sense to assume the SPD chip clock on RAM should match the motherboard's speed out of the box? I'm not very experienced with this and chose a kit assuming I wouldn't need to adjust BIOS timings. For your reference, you bought the kit here: https://www.kingston.com/dataSheets/HX432C18FRK2_32.pdf. Do you think anyone has another perspective or is this really important? My main concern was finding the highest SPD clock listed in the QVL for my motherboard, which seemed reasonable for a 16x2 kit. I'm not sure if I fully understand or if it was a solid decision. Each RAM will start at its JEDEC frequency by default, typically around 2133MHz, and anything above that is treated as an overclock. The SPD chip records the overclocked or advertised speed, which you can activate in BIOS by searching for DOCP or XMP. Keep in mind there are higher JEDEC speeds available, but most fall between 2133MHz and 2400MHz.
I'm not confident about this, but it seems the memory specifications might be conflicting. The JEDEC details mention DDR4-3200 CL18-21-21 @1.2V, while the first XMP profile matches that, and the second is underclocked to 2133.

These 3200Mhz kits are widely available and don't need to be listed on the QVL to function. The latest Ryzen 3 series offers much better RAM support, so they should work with any 3200Mhz model. You may gain a bit from faster clocks, but timing details (18-21-21) matter more—ideally you'd choose 3200Mhz CL15/14 or 3600Mhz CL16/17 for best results.
