You're planning a powerful setup with two RTX 2080 Ti GPUs using SLI or NVLink for data science and GPU computing. The Asrock x570 Taichi is a solid choice, but let's verify the PCIe slot layout. Since the next PCIe slot appears three positions down from the top, it should accommodate both MSI cards. Just confirm the exact slot positions in your motherboard manual to be sure. Good luck with your build!

Should fit just fine, but why not get 4 1080tis for the same price?

Thank you for your message. We already have some servers running these cards, and they may be integrated into other systems once this machine is retired. To maintain uniformity, it would be best to use the same cards across all our equipment.

The card layout in my MSI X570 Meg Ace resembles a similar spacing pattern. A duplicate should work fine. The backplate tends to get warm—what cooling method are you considering?

This setup makes sense for our climate-controlled server space. The proximity of the card and backplate is a minor issue, and since the rig won’t run continuously, the design with ample cooling fans should handle it well.
