hello, your new CPU looks to be performing much better than the old one. the per-core boost limits you found in the BIOS suggest each core has a specific boost value. checking hwinfo and Ryzen Master confirms these numbers, showing how capable your cores are. the values range from 96 down to 86, which indicates a wide performance window. it seems the higher the number, the more potential for better clock speeds, though actual voltage limits depend on your motherboard. you definitely have a solid selection for a high-performance build. thank you for asking!

Asus incorporated a unique function into their ROG Maximus and Strix-branded motherboards named Silicon Prediction (SP). This feature analyzes the processor's V/F curve to generate a numerical score indicating its quality.

The extent of improvement depends on your specific use case and hardware; overclocking can boost performance but may also increase power consumption or heat.

It compares the advantages of operating at 5050MHz versus other frequencies, focusing on performance gains.

I can adjust the first three cores to boost to 5.5, 5.4, and 5.35, while lowering the rest slightly. I also got full performance in Cinebench 5.1. My old unit crashed at 4.6 all cores—probably a defect.

The SP value simply reflects the CPU's capability for overclocking. It relates to the V/F curve, with higher values indicating better performance. It isn't an exact measure, as some low-SP chips can overclock exceptionally well while others deliver poor results. Generally, higher-SP models should handle higher clock speeds at the same voltage and lower speeds at specific frequencies. Regarding its usefulness, there are no reliable SP statistics for Ryzen processors, especially for high-performance variants like the OC 7800X3D. This information is less valuable for Intel, where overclocking remains important, and manufacturers provide detailed binning data (such as Igorslab's reports of hundreds of CPUs per generation). For AMD, overclocking is largely obsolete outside competitive settings.

Unless you're doing BCLK overclocking, its not getting past a 50.5x multiplier. If you're using HWmonitor, then its not reporting boost clocks correctly. I'd like to see some proof of a 5.1GHz all core R23 run Here's a run with my 7950x3D down configured with my standard configuration+PBO. Nothing special here and its using daily driver silent prioritized fan profiles. Full 16c/32t configuration being another story regarding boost clocks.

I tried BCLK overclocking and it seems to be the best method for boosting this CPU. I'm just checking the -17 all-core undervolt setting and will share updated results once I have more data!

When you locate the ASIC rating for a GPU die, it clearly shows your capacity to adjust voltage during intense overclocking sessions.

i kinda forgot the settings i was using, but here is one pic already of 5ghz all core (except core 8, that one isnt that good), ill hook you up with a 5.1 all core
