I've set up a dual-boot with Ubuntu 20.04 and am pleased with my KDE configuration. However, my Soundblaster Z isn't functioning properly. The drivers seem installed correctly, so I searched for help online, thinking a sound card might not be well-supported in the Ubuntu community. Many posts suggested updating the kernel or similar fixes. After some attempts, I enabled it via ALSA mixer, which worked on older kernels (18.04 or earlier), but now it only produces static when activated.

Creative options for Linux support are limited since most drivers come from community contributors. The top choice is using built-in motherboard audio or installing a USB sound card.
