Sound quality deteriorates once the game starts.
This issue appears only in games. Everything else functions normally; Spotify, YouTube, etc. I’ll start a game and after about 30 seconds the sound becomes very faint. Before that, it sounds clear and strong. This happens with all my headphones. I’ve tested on AirPods, Jabra, and wired earbuds. Initially I thought it was Bluetooth trouble, but now it started with my wired earbuds. It seems related to microphone inputs possibly changing after switching the mic input for Deep Rock Galactic—previously it worked without problems. I also checked drivers and ran the audio troubleshooter multiple times, but nothing helped. Did something trigger the game to request a mic input? I’ve disabled enhancements and that didn’t resolve it. Please assist!

I identified the problem as a hands-free function on my headphones affecting audio quality, switching from A2DP to HSP or HFP because of bandwidth needs.
