The sound is binaural. Occasionally from the left, occasionally from the right, sometimes both. Use headphones or earphones for optimal listening.
People on both sides are speaking similarly. "Welcome+" appears only from the left channel, while the main voice is consistently from the left. The secondary whispers are heard on both sides. I tried a YouTube video on my phone with headphones to see if it helped. The same issue seems to exist.
