In my situation with two siblings, we all use Steam accounts. My cousin often visits and has his own account, along with a few friends... I understand what you mean, and I think my case isn’t huge, but having this small feature would be really nice. It’s disappointing that developers aren’t adding it much anymore.
It's disappointing that many developers focus on PC gamers and succeed well in that area.
Dedicated and LAN servers are essential for multiplayer games, though Borderlands handles this well. Many titles lack the feature, while indie games often offer it but still restrict server setup.
