There are options for both your CPU and GPU. Performance can vary based on your hardware. If you have an i5, gaming and rendering might be tough since many threads would be busy. In that scenario, you could offload rendering to the GPU instead of relying on your CPU.
Using GPU rendering speeds things up but causes crashes in your Vegas version, likely due to its age.
Thanks for the feedback. Based on my observations, CPU rendering tends to be faster in my current configuration, which is unusual since I usually run GIMP and watch YouTube while rendering. I understand the 5820K can handle power, but I doubt it would outperform a dedicated GPU.
