Something is weird with my gpu voltage/power
Hello, I recently purchased a used RTX 3080 with minimal testing. It functions smoothly for work, games, etc., but the power delivery worries me. In games it stays under 290W without overheating, even though it has three 8-pin connectors. The card maintains around 13.7V at idle and drops to 13V when loaded. My third 8-pin connector rarely exceeds 3V and drops to 0.3V during idle. I've spent the past couple of days trying fixes—rearranging pins, reinstalling drivers, even using a different PSU—but nothing seems to help. The seller suggested it worked fine on their system, but that doesn’t reassure me. I’m concerned about the memory voltage and the third pin’s behavior. I’m okay with a 290W limit, but I’m worried the GPU might fail soon.
I don’t really focus on the third 8pin, but my main goal is to resolve the high voltage issue on pwr_src.
