Hey everyone, this is my second attempt at figuring out the problem. I’m in a rental unit on the ground floor, and my landlord lives above me with the WiFi router installed. My laptop specs are: gaming model AORUS 7KB CPU Intel Core i7-10750H @ 2.6GHz, running Windows 11 (latest with Copilot), same issues occurred in an older version of Windows 11 with 16GB RAM, RTX 2060 GPU, and the integrated Intel UHD Graphics 2 SSDs (512GB SX8200PNP-512GT-S original, plus a 1TB Crucial CT1000P1SSD8).

Connection details: SSID is Telenor1091bla, protocol Wi-Fi 5 (802.11ac), security WPA2-Personal. Manufacturer is Intel Corporation.

Description: I’m using the latest driver version 22.20.0.6 for WiFi 6 AX200 at 160MHz. Before proceeding, I want to explain how I test latency. I run ping to google.com and monitor the result; normally it’s around 16ms. So far, when my laptop is powered on and the dedicated GPU isn’t busy, WiFi works perfectly. But if I launch a demanding game like MSFS 2020, the ping spikes to 1000ms or more, and eventually I get a request timeout.

If I disconnect the power while the game is running, the ping drops back to 16ms instantly—usually only fluctuating less than 1% of the time. Other observations: I tried sharing my mobile internet via Android hotspot from my phone to my laptop; it worked fine during the game and when unplugged. I also used an Ethernet cable for LAN, which didn’t cause any problems. Interestingly, I performed these tests in a different house and had no issues at all.

My main questions:
- Could this be caused by interference from my laptop or something wrong with my device?
- Is there a way to dig deeper and identify the exact source?
- And finally, what should I do to fix it?
