something is going on with my pc fan
It might sound like a cable moving against the panel, originating from the back where the fan is placed. The fan bearing could also be failing. Removing the panel lowers internal pressure, which reduces friction on the bearing.
Typically, the fan bearing is the main component. Cheap fans often use sleeve bearings, which are the most common choice. Manufacturers favor this option since it’s inexpensive and many PC builders aren’t aware of the quality gap between sleeve and ball-bearing fans. For quieter operation, verify the specifications of any fan you’re considering—ensure it uses ball bearings rather than sleeve bearings. A big difference exists.
yeah idk this is a home built pc almost every thing is gigabyte and corsair but this fan has no brand its most likely being caught in one of the corners of the fan bc when i turn on the pc and it makes that noise it kinda slows down sometimes and when it slows down the noise get louder. THANKS ALL
