I'm struggling to understand what's happening with my computer. Recently, it keeps freezing and the task manager shows my RAM is full. At first I thought it was due to Opera, but then it happened again without any browser open. A scan didn't find anything suspicious. My friend suggested possible faulty RAM, so I tested it and it worked fine. Another suggestion was to keep RamMap open, but that didn't help either. I had it running during another freeze and noticed something odd. I just received two new RAM sticks, so I'm considering replacing them. I'm really confused and don't know what's going on. Do anyone else have similar problems with RAM running out of space?

I’m not looking to share bad news, but overclocking RAM might indicate a virus issue. Otherwise, open Task Manager, go to Processes, and check the RAM usage in order from highest to lowest.

You can transfer Linux onto a flash drive and start from there (no installation needed). Check the performance then. If everything appears normal, as Liam mentioned, watch for viruses or malware.

It triggers RAM and SSD write operations, possibly indicating a virus or heavy background activity. Would you like me to provide a screenshot of the details tab?

Avira and Malwarebytes both displayed clean virus scan results. If you're curious about other antivirus options, I'm ready to review the Task Manager details—I noticed usage under 200MB and no unusual patterns. I’ll capture screenshots during future occurrences. It seems this issue happens randomly, occurring at any time: morning, noon, or night, even when I was actively using the computer and then paused it for 20 minutes. No consistent trend has been identified so far.

It might be wise to safeguard important information and perform a fresh installation of Windows.

... yeah but I was really hoping not to. Buddy pointed out that my Non-paged pool getting up to 15.2gb means it's probably a driver issue, so I'm gonna start looking into that now.

Your chances are with the updated Killer™ E2200 drivers. The outdated versions exposed all your data, filling your memory with unnecessary traffic.

Lol, it seems I was still relying on Killer Network Manager version 1.1.xxxx and they’re moving to Killer Control Center v2.4.xxxx, which is pretty outdated. Thanks for spotting that, good sir. It’s cool I haven’t faced this problem until now. ... the control panel is available on the Microsoft Store but can’t be downloaded. I still have the driver file from the site, so that’s fine. I’ll keep an eye on it just in case.
