Someone knows about Asus' Keybot?
You're asking about setting up a keybot to control your PC's power.
Try accessing the feature directly instead of searching for it in a hidden cabinet.
You don't have to completely turn off your computer. Just put it to sleep using a shortcut. I've set up a macro for that, so when you need it again, just press any key or click the mouse and everything resumes. Your last work will also be restored.
Their site states it can't start a computer from nothing. It only works with devices that are partially off (like hibernation or sleep) and can change their settings automatically. You can wake it up from sleep by setting it to a specific overclock level, and they mention caffeine might help you stay alert instead of using the machine.
Play around with the KeyBot driver and set a key for turning it on, similar to other programmable keyboard buttons. Since I don’t have a KeyBot-friendly motherboard, you’ll need to try it yourself or find someone who does. Edit: This has some hints:
I’ve reviewed everything and only macro, media, and Windows functions are available. Starting the BIOS isn’t feasible for me. It seems my receiver needs to load the log-in screen before sending a signal to the TV.
