I'm curious about when this might become the latest thing. We're spending more than $200 on a mobile cooler with fans and (some) mediocre VRT cooling, while being pushed to pay extra just to get decent quality. Could manufacturers eventually set a new standard for mounting holes in custom coolers? That would likely bring down the price of mobile coolers a lot. Or are they just trying to take advantage of us?
I’m pretty sure you could help out—I think it’d be great, though maybe add a really bad stock cooler too.
It seems like manufacturers are adding extra VRM coolers just to justify lower-quality options. Basically, I’m not happy about that. I’m already comfortable with the ATX setup, and right now it’s actually more compact than it used to be.
