many of my friends enjoy playing valorant, so I chose to download it. it performed smoothly at 30fps using the lowest settings on my i5 10600K, RTX 3070 and 16GB RAM (3200MHz DDR4). after installing, I noticed my system struggled significantly. in Task Manager, the CPU usage was near 60% while chatting on Discord. since the performance was terrible even on a decent machine, I removed the game, and the CPU usage returned to about 5-10%. anyone else experienced this issue?
Valorant employs a kernel-level rootkit for its anti-cheat system, allowing it to monitor all activity on your PC regardless of the game running. This heightened control may have triggered excessive CPU usage by scanning through your files and applications. The situation raises serious privacy concerns.
