For a short time I couldn't play TF2 or LFD2. When I attempt to start them, Steam plays the button but my screen doesn't respond and it seems to freeze. It probably relates to how these games are built. I've tested different launch methods like -novid and -windowed, but those only opened a temporary window that crashed. I checked my TF2 files, reinstalled the game, disabled antivirus temporarily, and even changed Steam folder exceptions. Updated my gameinfo.txt with another source and it fixed everything. This resolved both TF2 and LFD2.

It seems like you're wondering if your laptop is being overclocked, as this has affected me before.

I've kept my CPU at a lower voltage for a while, and everything has worked well so far.

You can suggest turning off the undervolt protection, since components may fail with age and stability can change over time.

Have you attempted to remove the game's cache, check the files, or reinstall Steam?
