I’ve already spoken with Gigabyte—they’re just as useful as Asus Tech Support, but that’s another story. I went all-in on a new build, using every feature they offered: TRX40 Aorus Xtreme 4x Gigabyte 500g NVME Gen 4 in RAID 0, RTX 2080 Ti Aorus WC for the full shoot. My read/write speeds are insane. My old X299 still outperforms it (second image). I’ve tested three different BIOS versions, three driver updates, and reformatted/installed it three times without success. Gigabyte’s “FIX” meant tweaking settings in the Crystal Disk Mark—WTF. I changed IO settings in BIOS, tried Auto mode at 16x and 4x4x4x4, disabled/enabled CSM, adjusted cache settings. The AIC card is in the PCIe16_2 slot.
Check for any available firmware updates for your SSD. Once confirmed, proceed with backing up any critical data.
