Darkbreeze shares his thoughts on several cooling options. He finds the 212 EVO unsuitable for heavy overclocking due to excessive noise under high TDP conditions. Although it outperforms standard coolers, it falls short compared to models priced a bit higher, around ten to twenty dollars more.

He mentions having no prior experience with the Matterhorn, so he can't comment much on that yet but intends to research it. He expresses dislike for Thermaltake products overall, citing poor quality and underwhelming performance relative to their price. He avoids their items except for a few mediocre cases during sales.

Regarding Zalman, he notes some decent performers but finds most of them look like they belong in sci-fi comics. He considers them better than stock coolers but still sees them as overpriced compared to pure performance. He suggests the 212 EVO or Dark Rock units would be more reliable choices within budget constraints.

He acknowledges the Zalman CNPS14X has worse performance than the Hyper 212 line, making it a less favorable option. He recommends sticking with the 212 EVO or Dark Rock models if they fit your budget.

Apologies accepted. He also clarifies he didn't recommend the Hyper 212, as it doesn't meet his needs for heavy overclocking and is not designed for that purpose. The discussion was initiated by someone who brought up the Hyper 212.

Wow, I wasn't expecting such many answers ^^
Thank you both for your assistance and for providing clear responses. It made a big difference because the internet is my main source of information about CPU coolers, and specific details are often hard to find.
