So according to the title, I’m facing some performance issues with certain games when trying to play them. I recently downloaded Vermintide 2, expecting it to run smoothly at maximum settings. My confusion began when launching the game and seeing a pop-up suggesting low graphics settings. I ignored it, adjusted the settings to high instead, and started playing. The first cutscene felt smooth at around 30 frames per second. Changing the settings back to low or extreme didn’t significantly improve my FPS, only slightly reducing it by about 10-15%. This problem repeats with The Witcher 3, where even at max settings, I’m getting very low FPS—something that bothers me since I previously played it at a stable 100+ FPS.

In Cyberpunk 2077, I set everything to high except ray tracing and ran at high 40s to 50s. All drivers are up to date, and I notice no issues with my hardware, though both my CPU and GPU are under 10% load when the games cause low FPS. This makes me think my PC treats these games like background tasks and doesn’t allocate power properly. While my GPU and CPU usage are normal during gameplay, my monitors behave oddly: the second monitor stays static briefly, and the third screen shifts slightly to the right. I’m not sure if this is related, but I’m sharing all the details I have. My PC specs include a 2TB secondary HDD, though I’m not certain it impacts performance. Hopefully, someone with more experience can help me understand what’s happening!
