My Kingston SSD, model v300 120GB, has slowed down after upgrading the motherboard. The ASRock 990FX is running slower than my Seagate 2TB desktop drive, and it also boots slowly. Here are some benchmark results.

Check if it connects to a SATA 3 port. The V300 has poor SSD performance.

The V300s seem to have faulty NAND chips. I recommend switching to the Kingston SSD now. The current ones are slow and prone to issues. Consider getting the 840 EVO instead. I prefer my drives.

V300 was affordable and performed excellently. I’d pay £840 if I had a £60 budget, but I don’t think I’ll be able to right now… Any chance I can manage something with my device?

Seagate and WD produce top-quality HDDs, while Samsung offers the best SSDs. I wasn’t surprised by your outcome since you overlooked your SSD options.

Boot time was about 15 seconds initially, but it has increased to around 30 seconds now. That doesn't seem correct.
