Some reason makes me have a lot of free space on my hard drive, and it's actually quite big at 186 gigabytes.

I have a 2TB Samsung 990 Pro M.2 SSD and just installed windows 11 with all the updates. But when I looked at my drive in Disk Management, it said that there is 186GB of Unallocated Space. The only option was to create a whole new drive from those 186GB. It feels stupid because I don't want to turn my single SSD into two separate drives. How do I fix this?
If you use free tools from Acronis or similar programs (I'm pretty sure there are others out there), you can extend your current partition into empty space. Just keep in mind that this might mess up the Windows startup file, so if it breaks things later on, you could lose everything and need to start over with a fresh install.
